Macmillan Education Eswatini reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen its partnership with all schools and teachers in the country’s education sector as it hosted the International Educational Resources Symposium. The symposium was a tailored consultative gathering that brought together school heads, deputy heads and teachers from leading private institutions as well as selected public schools offering the IGCSE curriculum. It provided a dynamic platform for engagement and exploration of high‑quality curriculum resources designed to elevate teaching and learning standards across Eswatini.
A major highlight of the symposium was the keynote presentation by Chioma Nwaorgu‑Okere, International Sales Manager for Hachette Learning,. Hatchette Learning is a partner publishing house to Macmillan Education that is endorsed by the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations body, offering educational resources for the IGCSE, and IB curricular. Chioma delivered a comprehensive presentation on Hachette Learning’s expansive catalogue of Cambridge‑aligned resources and its upcoming 2026 frontlist. She also unpacked the company’s global partnerships, particularly with Cambridge Assessment International Education, and showcased innovative digital solutions such as Adaptive Learn and the Boost platform. Chioma’s session further delved into Hachette Learning’s comprehensive curriculum coverage, including English, Maths, Science, Computing, Humanities, Business, Accounting, Economics, Languages and vocational subjects, reinforcing the value of world‑class content in supporting Eswatini’s educators.
Delivering the opening remarks, Bongani Motsa, Managing Director of Macmillan Education Eswatini, emphasised Macmillan’s mission of empowering teachers, school leaders and all education stakeholders with relevant, accessible and high‑quality learning materials. “Macmillan’s has a long‑standing commitment to strengthening classroom practice, supporting school improvement and ensuring that every learner across Eswatini benefits from quality education”, he said. He also made an undertaking that the company would continue to walk in lockstep with teachers to ensure that the company’s mission of advancing learning at all levels is achieved.
The programme also featured an overview by Macmillan’s Agency and Digital Sales manager, Kilayne Pelser who outlined Macmillan’s services and ongoing support to Eswatini schools, reinforcing the company’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of educators nationwide.
The symposium concluded with interactive discussions, resource viewing sessions and networking, offering educators a rare opportunity to share experiences and explore new pedagogical tools. Through this successful event, Macmillan Education Eswatini reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to empowering educators and enriching learner outcomes, ensuring every classroom is supported with the broad, curriculum‑aligned resources needed to deliver transformative education.
